["Raseyn" Champion Arabian Stallion. Foaled in 1923. Imported by W.K. Kellogg from Crabbet Park Nursery, Sussex, England. Kellogg Campus, California State Polytechnic College, Pomona, California.]
Original NFB caption reads: "From the plains of Alberta, thousands of wild horses are shipped to Europe.
Cowboys and Indians round them up, herd them into corrals for sorting. Some go overseas alive to work in the fields, others go as horsemeat, pickled and canned.
All go for the relief of starving Europeans."
"Icon painted in egg tempera on gesso over linen on a pine panel. The background gesso is worked in relief, originally silvered. On the reverse is a patriarchal cross painted in red. The icon represents a young beardless saint on horseback. He is identified by an abraded, but just readable, Greek inscription in red letters which identifies him as St George" (British Museum).
